I was recently diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and my doctor prescribed me Tadalafil 20mg tablets. I've heard it can help with blood flow and reduce the workload on my heart, which is great, but I'm a bit anxious about the side effects. Has anyone else taken this medication? What was your experience like? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, how long does it typically take to see improvements in exercise ability? I'm hoping to get back to my daily walks soon.

How often are you taking the medication? I was taking it daily and it made me too dizzy to function, so I switched to every other day and it’s been much better!

I've been on it for about a year now. My advice is to stay hydrated, eat well, and keep your heart healthy and it should help mitigate the side effects. I felt a lot better a few weeks in and can happily report being able to exercise again. Best of luck!

I've been on Tadalafil for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer for me. I noticed improvements in my ability to exercise within a couple of weeks, but it took a few months to really feel the full benefits. As for side effects, I've had some flushing and occasional headaches, but nothing too severe. Just make sure to stay hydrated and take it with food if you have stomach issues.

My mom was on it for a while and she really struggled with the flushing. She had to switch to a different medication. If you have trouble with that, maybe you have similar genetics. Definitely something to watch out for.

Be careful with the side effects, though. I had a friend who ended up in the ER because of a severe headache and blurred vision. Turns out it was a rare but serious side effect. Definitely keep an eye out for anything unusual!

Sounds tough, but you've got this! Just remember to contact your doctor if you experience any severe side effects. Safety first!
