I've recently started taking Algae Based Calcium Tablets for better bone health and support overall health. I have some concerns, though. Are these supplements safe? I've heard about the rare but severe side effects, and I am not sure what to look for. How do these compare to regular calcium supplements? I'd love to hear your experiences and advice on these tablets. I've been trying to go more plant-based and and would love to know if these supplements are as safe and effective as traditional ones. Also curious to know if it's worth it to monitor and keep track of possible side-effects. Thanks in advance!

I had a slight upset stomach at first, but it went away after a week. I think it's worth sticking with it, especially if you're looking for a plant-based option. This sounds a bit concerning, though. Will these tablets last me longer if I take them in smaller doses?

I've been taking them for a month and haven't had any issues. I think you should be okay.

Anyone else find it gross how they come from algae?

Finally, a plant-based calcium option! I've been looking for something to replace my regular calcium but wanted to make sure it was safe. My doctor recommended these and said they're just as effective.

Personally, I like the idea of getting calcium from a plant-based source. Not excited about the side effects, but the benefits are there. Like everything, moderation is key. I've been taking them for a while now, and I put them in liquids I put in my stomach, and it works very well. It should work well for you too.

I read the side effects and got a little worried, but my doctor assured me they are rare. I've been taking them for three months now, and no issues. My bone density scan came back better than ever, which has got to count for something. Make sure you report any side effects you experience too. The FDA will appreciate it.
