I've been prescribed Ancobon 500mg Capsules to treat a serious fungal infection. It's being used in combination with amphotericin B. I've heard that this medication can have some severe side effects, so I'm a bit nervous. Has anyone else taken this and experienced any issues? I just want to be prepared for what might come, and I'm hoping to find some support and advice here. What should I watch out for, and are there any tips for managing the side effects? Also, any insights on the potential interactions with other medications or foods?

I took Ancobon a few years ago for a severe Candida infection. The side effects were manageable, but I did experience some nausea and vomiting. Make sure to stay hydrated and eat small, frequent meals. Also, keep a close eye on any signs of an allergic reaction. It's always better to be safe!.

My doctor warned me about the potential for low potassium levels. I had to monitor my diet and sometimes take supplements. It was a hassle, but better than dealing with the infection.

I took this for awhile and it was a nightmare. I had terrible mouth sores and my balance was off. I had to stop taking it after a few weeks.

I work in a pharmacy, and I've seen a few cases where patients had to stop taking Ancobon due to severe side effects. If you experience any chest pain, shortness of breath, or sudden weight gain, seek medical help immediately. Don’t mess around with these symptoms.
