I've just been prescribed Capoten 25mg Tablets (Captopril) for my high blood pressure, and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. I know it's supposed to help with my heart and kidney issues, but I'm still worried. Has anyone else taken this medication? What were your experiences like? I've heard about some pretty serious side effects, but also that many people don't experience anything too bad. I just want to be prepared, so if anyone has any tips or stories to share, I'd really appreciate it!

I feel like the side effects are a small price to pay for how well it works. My heart failure symptoms have improved so much since I started taking it.

Make sure you talk to your doctor about any other medications you're taking. I had to switch meds because of an interaction, and it saved me a lot of trouble.

I’ve been on this medication for a few months and so far, so good. No major issues, just a bit of a cough and some occasional lightheadedness. Nothing too bad. I’ve also made sure to regularly check my blood pressure at home.

I had some weird taste changes, but it wasn't too bad. Just make sure you're drinking plenty of water and eating well. It helped me a lot.

I got really dizzy at first, but it went away after a couple of weeks. My doctor said it's pretty common. Just be careful when you stand up from sitting or lying down.
