Just started taking Diltiazem 30mg tablets, what should I expect?
I've been prescribed Diltiazem 30mg tablets to help with my high blood pressure and angina. I've done some research and understand that it helps relax blood vessels, but I'm still a bit nervous. The possible side effects seem a bit scary. Has anyone else taken this medication? What was your experience like? Were the side effects really as bad as they sound, or is it all just the usual scary medical jargon?

My doctor said the side effects will happen but they will quickly go away. I felt faint the first time I took it so make sure you're lying down.
If you start feeling really bad, call a doctor. Don't wait for it to get bad enough to go to the hospital.
I've been on Diltiazem for a few months now and it's been great for my blood pressure. Just make sure you're consistent with taking it, it's easier on your system.
Don't worry about the side effects too much, I took them for a long time and never had any issues. It controls your heart rate very well.
I felt dizzy and tired at first but it went away after a week. I'm not good with needles so swallowing a tablet is a relief.
I had an allergic reaction to Diltiazem. Not everyone gets the same side effects, so be careful.
I think the side effects are over exaggerated. I've been on this medication for a year and have had no issues.
I know it's scary to start a new medication, but Diltiazem has really helped me. Just take it as prescribed and you should be fine. Much scarier to have angina, isn't it?
The side effects sound a lot worse than they are, honestly. It's just not worth worrying about.
