Just started taking Isoniazid 300mg for TB prevention. How's it going for you guys?
Hey everyone, I recently started taking Isoniazid 300mg to prevent TB after being exposed. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the more severe ones. Has anyone else taken this medication? How was your experience? Any tips on managing side effects or what to expect? Thanks in advance!

I had a pretty rough time with it. The joint pain was brutal, but my doctor switched me to a different combo of medicines and that helped a lot.
I've been on Isoniazid for a few months now, and honestly, it's not been too bad. I got some nausea at first, but my doctor gave me some tips to manage it. Just make sure to take it with food and stay hydrated.
Anyone else feel super tired on this stuff? I'm just so drained all the time, but at least I don't have TB anymore.
I had a friend who took Isoniazid and developed a weird rash all over their body. Turns out it was a severe reaction, so if you see anything like that, get to a doctor ASAP.
Isoniazid saved my life, literally. I had active TB and this stuff, combined with the other meds, wiped it out. Just follow your doc's advice and you'll be fine.
Isoniazid is a serious drug—do NOT skip doses. If you miss one, take it as soon as you remember, but don't double up. Safety first!
I was really paranoid about the severe side effects, but luckily, I didn't experience any of those. Just some mild nausea and a bit of a rash, but nothing major. Keep an eye out for any weird symptoms, though, and definitely talk to your doctor if anything seems off.
I've heard horror stories about the really bad side effects, so I'm glad I haven't experienced any of those. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
Make sure to take it on an empty stomach. Food can interfere with absorption, so it's better to take it first thing in the morning before breakfast.
I thought I was going to lose my mind with the tingling sensations and mood swings, but my doctor said it's normal. Just hang in there, it'll get better.
