I was recently prescribed Norpace CR 100mg for my irregular heartbeats. My doctor explained that it's a controlled-release version of Disopyramide, which helps regulate my heart's electrical signals. I've been taking it for a week now, and while I haven't noticed any serious side effects, I am experiencing a bit of dizziness and fatigue. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I'd love to hear about your journeys with this medication, both good and bad. Also, any tips on managing the side effects would be greatly appreciated. I'm particularly curious about how the controlled-release mechanism affects the effectiveness and frequency of doses. It seems like a convenient feature, but I wonder if it makes the medication less potent at times.

I'm curious about the controlled-release mechanism too. My pharmacist explained that it helps maintain a steady level of the drug in your system, which can reduce the frequency and severity of side effects.

I wish the FDA would make it easier to report side effects.

I've been on this medication for years! The side effects are mild, and it has helped stabilize my heart rate. It’s a bit of a trade-off, but it’s worth it for the control over my arrhythmia.

Be aware of the potential for serious side effects, including those strange urination symptoms. It sounds gross but it could keep you from a life-threatening condition.
