I just started treatment with Topotecan 4mg/4ml Inj for ovarian cancer. My doctor said it's a chemotherapy drug that interferes with the growth of cancer cells. I'm a bit scared about the side effects, especially the urgent ones. Has anyone else gone through this? What was your experience like? Any tips on managing the side effects?

I had a bad reaction to Topotecan, so I switched to a different chemo drug. Everyone's different, so if you're having a hard time, talk to your doctor about other options.

Chemo sucks, but so does cancer. You'll get through this. Take it one day at a time, and remember there are people who care about you and want to help.

Be prepared for the constipation. It's awful, but there are meds that can help. Just talk to your doctor about it.

I was really nervous about the bleeding side effects, but I haven't had any issues so far. Just be aware of your body and report any concerns to your doctor.

I'm on my third round of Topotecan and it's been rough. The fatigue is real, but manageable. The nausea was bad at first, but my doctor prescribed some meds that helped. Just take it easy and listen to your body.

Topotecan kicked my butt the first time I took it. My advice? Hydrate like crazy. Drink water, electrolyte drinks, whatever you can get down. And get some anti-nausea meds ahead of time. Good luck, you got this!

I was nervous about the lung problems, but I haven't had any issues so far. Just make sure to take it easy and listen to your body.
