Just started Trelstar Mix for prostate cancer - anyone else on this journey?
I've just been prescribed Trelstar Mix 3.75mg Inj to treat prostate cancer. I am curious about anyone else who has been on this treatment and their experiences. How did you handle the injections? What side effects did you encounter? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. I am very nervous and scared, but I want to stay positive and informed. Let's discuss!

I’ve been through this, and I can assure you the injections are not fun but definitely worth it. Remember to schedule your doses so they don’t interfere with important life events.
I was on Trelstar for endometriosis. The injections were a bit of a hassle, but the biggest issue for me was the mood swings. It was like being on an emotional roller coaster. Talk to your doctor about all the potential side effects, even the rare ones. Ask about support groups too—having people who understand can make a big difference.
I've heard that the injection site can get pretty sore. Maybe look into some tips on how to minimize that? Also, make sure to eat well and stay hydrated. It can really help with the overall side effects.
I experienced some severe side effects, including a couple of UTIs, and those were awful. Drink lots of water. I had no idea that could be a side effect and it got really scary.
I've heard this can cause some severe side effects, but I hope you end up on the better end of the spectrum. This is such a harsh drug and a heavy burden to everyone who needs it. Best of luck!
Talk to your healthcare team about every symptom, no matter how small. I thought some things were just minor annoyances, but they turned out to be important. They can help you stay on track.
