Just started using Advate 3000unit Inj for hemophilia A – any tips or experiences to share?
I recently started using Advate 3000unit Inj to manage my hemophilia A. I've been doing intravenous injections for a few weeks now, and I'm curious to hear from others who have experience with this medication. How do you deal with injection site irritation? Do you have any tips for making the process easier? I appreciate any help or advice. Thanks in advance.

I've been on Advate for years. Injection site irritation is common but usually goes away quickly. Try rotating sites and using a topical numbing cream if it gets too uncomfortable.
I had a bit of a rough start with Advate, but now I'm used to it. The worse side effect for me was the joint pain. It made things hard for a while, but I'm managing now. Just be patient.
I wish they made this stuff in a powdered form because it’s so much easier to mix. I hope the research labs are looking into that. Anyway, glad to hear you're finding some relief.
Just curious where everyone gets their Advate from? My insurance only covers a certain amount, so I've been looking into other options.
I've had a pretty bad reaction to Advate in the past. I got a really bad rash and had to switch to another medication. It's a real bummer. If you notice anything weird, like a rash or hives, don't mess around and get to a doctor immediately.
I’ve dealt with Advate for years but I have to say, it sucks having to deal with an IV. Has anyone looked into getting one of those button-injected ones?
I’m curious to know if anyone has dealt with the injection site irritation. I've found that icing the area afterward really helps. Just don't tell your doctor I said that.

I've been on Advate for a while now and have had no issues. My doctor recommended it because of how well it works for my specific case. I think I'll stick with it for now.
I have had no problem with Advate at all, knock on wood. I've had no major side effects or anything. I'd say, if you're like me, you’re going to be in a pretty good place.
