I've just started using Atropine Sulf 1% Oph Soln 5ml eye drops to treat my son's lazy eye (amblyopia). The doctor said this is a common treatment to help strengthen the weak eye by blurring the vision in the stronger eye. I'm concerned about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones. Has anyone else used these eye drops? What were your experiences with side effects? Did you experience any of the more serious side effects like allergic reactions or high blood pressure? How did you handle them? Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Be sure to monitor for signs of allergic reaction. I've seen a friend have a bad reaction to eye drops once, and it was scary. Better safe than sorry.

I used these drops for my kids and didn't notice any major side effects. Just a bit of stinging at first, but nothing too bad. It's worth it if it helps with the lazy eye!

I think it's important to remember that everyone's experience with medication can be different. What works for one person might not work for another. It's always best to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new treatment. They can provide personalized advice and monitoring based on your specific needs and medical history.

I've heard that some people experience a fast or abnormal heartbeat with these drops. Has anyone else had this issue? It sounds scary!
