I recently started using Desowen 0.05% Cream for my eczema, and I'm trying to manage my expectations. I've heard it's pretty effective, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects. I've had eczema flares since I was a kid, and I'm hoping this cream will help reduce the itching and redness. Has anyone else used this cream? How long did it take to see results? Any tips on how to use it effectively? Also, I'm curious about the side effects—has anyone experienced any unexpected ones? Looking forward to hearing your experiences!

I had a weird side effect with this cream—my skin started to burn a bit, but it went away after I stopped using it for a few days. Once I resumed, it was fine. I think it was because I applied it too thickly.

Does anyone know if it's okay to use this while pregnant? I'm expecting and my eczema has been flaring up a lot.

I tried it and the burning sensation was too much for me to handle. I had to switch to a different cream. But it could just be my sensitive skin.

I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now, and it’s been great. I think I saw best results when I applied it right after my morning shower. Just make sure to wash your hands thoroughly afterward to avoid getting it on sensitive areas.

I wonder how this compares to other steroid creams like hydrocortisone? Anyone had experience with both?

I’ve been really careful with this stuff. I always apply it after a shower and keep my skin moisturized. It’s gotten rid of the itching almost immediately, which is amazing. I still get the occasional flare-up, but it’s so much more manageable now.

I started using Desowen after my doctor recommended it. I also have asthma and was afraid of the possible respiratory issues mentioned in the side effects. But I’ve been using it for a month and haven’t experienced any problems. It's been a bit drying for me, so I moisturize well before and after applying the cream.

Be careful with this stuff. I had a mild allergic reaction the first time I used it. I broke out in hives all over my body. I had to stop using it immediately.
