Just started using Fluorouracil 2% Solution for actinic keratosis and the skin reaction is intense!
I've been using Fluorouracil 2% Solution for a week now, and while I know the skin reaction is supposed to be a sign that it's working, it's really tough to deal with. The redness, crusting, and soreness are overwhelming. I'm trying to stay positive, but I can't help but wonder if it's worth it. Has anyone else gone through this? Any tips for managing the side effects? I'm really struggling here and could use some advice or encouragement...

Could be worse, right? I mean, it's just a bit of pain and redness. You could have cancer... at least you've got a fighting chance here! Hang in there, you got this!
I've never used this stuff, but I've heard it's a beast. Hope you feel better soon. Pain and discomfort are always worth it if it means achieving your desired goal...
Yikes, that sounds rough. Just remember, you're not alone in this. Stick it out and keep talking to your doctor. Good luck!
I know it's hard, but remember, it's a sign the medication is doing its job. Try applying a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer to help with the dryness. It really helped me.
Hang in there! The reactions are rough, but it does get better. I had the same struggles with my treatment, but once my doc confirmed it was the medicine working, I felt a little better about it. Keep going- it’s worth it!
I experienced a mild skin reaction when I applied the medication the first time, but it got better with time. You might want to check with your doctor and see if you could reduce the dosage...
