I was recently diagnosed with pernicious anemia and started using Nascobal 500mcg Nasal Spray. It's been a few days, and I'm curious to hear from others who have used this for their vitamin B12 deficiency. How long did it take to see improvements? Any tips for using the spray effectively? I've had some minor nose irritation, but I'm wondering if that's normal or if I should be concerned. Also, I've read about some serious side effects – has anyone experienced any of these? Any advice on managing them would be appreciated. Looking forward to hearing your experiences!

I've been using Nascobal for about a month now, and it's been a game-changer. I didn't experience any serious side effects, but the initial nose irritation was a bit bothersome. I found that using a saline spray before Nascobal helped a lot. It took about two weeks to feel a significant difference in my energy levels. Also, make sure to keep track of your potassium levels, as low potassium can be a serious issue with this medication. I was doing my regular blood testing, and it helped me stay in the loop about my health.

This is actually why I started taking it. The nasal spray is a lot easier than the injections I used to get. I recommend it for anyone who has issues with needles. I didn't have any cold symptoms with it, but I did have a lot of nose irritation.

I didn't have any issues with the spray, but I did have some upset stomach. I was taking it without eating and I've since started taking it with meals and it's much better. Just a little bit of advice

Be careful with the dosage. I accidentally took too much one day and ended up with a really bad headache. Stick to the prescribed amount!

Glad to hear it's working for you! I've been on it for a while and didn't notice any major side effects either, just some mild headaches. I've been using it for a few weeks and my doctor did suggest to take it with meals to avoid any upset stomach or vomiting.

I've been using Nascobal for a few months now. Did anyone else feel a little nervous or jittery at first? It was weird, but it went away after a week or so. I'm also keeping a close eye on my potassium levels and any signs of allergic reactions.

I had some muscle cramps and weakness at first, but my doctor said it was probably due to low potassium levels. She recommended eating more bananas and leafy greens. It's helped a lot since.
