Just started using Novolog Penfill 3ml Cartridge (orange) and I'm having some side effects. Anyone else experiencing them?
I was prescribed Novolog Penfill 3ml Cartridge (orange) for managing my blood sugar, and it starts working really fast, usually within 10-20 minutes. I've been using it for a couple of weeks, but I've noticed some side effects. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I'm curious to know if anyone else has had issues with weight gain or irritated injection sites. Also, I've been a bit worried about the more serious side effects, like low potassium levels or allergic reactions. How do you guys manage these? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I've been on Novolog for a while now and haven't had any major issues. Just make sure you're taking it at the right time, right before meals. Consistency is key!
I had similar issues at first, but my doctor told me to rotate injection sites. It made a big difference. Also, have you tried using a smaller dosage? It might help with the side effects.
I was worried about the more serious side effects, but my doctor reassured me that if I stick to the prescribed dosage and monitor my blood sugar, I should be okay.
I'm not sure I even want to think about muscle pain, let alone deal with it. I'm trying to get into a regular exercise routine, hopefully that helps.
I've had low blood sugar a few times, but it's always been manageable. Just keep glucose tablets or juice on hand.
I've experienced some weight gain, but I think it's more related to my overall diet and less about the insulin. But I get what you're saying, it can be frustrating.
I really hate the injection sites, it's like my skin is against it. I just wanted to mention those lumps can be really annoying.
I've had some issues with it too, but one of the worst things was the injection sites. I've been using a cream that helps sooth the irritation.
