I've been recently prescribed Symlinpen 60 Inj 1000mcg/ml 2x1.5ml to better manage my type 1 diabetes. It's been a bit of an adjustment, as I’m used to just insulin. Did anyone else try this and find it was just not worth the side effects? I wish I could say it worked for me but it did not.
I've been using Symlinpen for years. Yes, the side effects can be rough at first, but they usually settle down. Just stick with it and monitor your blood sugar regularly. It can make a dramatic difference in your overall diabetes management and reduce the need for insulin adjustments.
I've been on Symlinpen for a few months now. It definitely helped with post-meal blood sugar spikes, but I did have some initial issues with nausea and stomach pain. It passed after a couple of weeks. Also, keep glucose tablets on hand, because hypoglycemia can hit hard.
I love this stuff! It's made a huge difference in my A1C levels. Just try to be consistent with your insulin dosages and monitor your blood sugar closely. I’d also recommend keeping a food diary when you start, it’ll help you see how the med affects your blood sugar.
Be prepared for some changes in your appetite. It can take a bit to get used to the feeling of fullness.
I wish my doctor had recommended this sooner. I've been struggling with managing my post-meal blood sugar and this stuff is a game-changer.
