Just started Viramune 200mg Tablets: What should I expect?
I was recently prescribed Viramune 200mg Tablets for my HIV-1 infection. My doctor emphasized how important it is to take it exactly as prescribed, even when I feel well. I'm a bit worried about the serious side effects, especially the skin rash and liver problems. Has anyone else taken this medication? What was your experience like? Any tips on managing side effects or anything else I should know?

Why do you need Nevirapine? What's the benefit of this? all the side effects are scary.
I've been on Viramune for a while now. It definitely takes some getting used to, but it's been effective for me. The first few months were tough with some skin issues, but my doctor helped me manage it.
Has anyone had issues with changes in body fat? I read that can happen.
I had a pretty bad reaction to Viramune. I got a rash and some liver issues. It was scary, but I've since switched to a different med. Talk to your doctor if you notice anything out of the ordinary.
Scared to start this stuff, but I guess we have to sometimes.
A serious problem is the liver problems and rash. It's probably good that your doctor will monitor you closely.
I started having flu-like symptoms but it went away after a few weeks. Stick close to your doctor.
I've been on this for a year. No issues. Just follow your doctor's instructions.
Make sure to report any strange symptoms to your doctor, no matter how small they seem. Better safe!
