I was recently prescribed Zituvimet 50-1000mg Tablets to help manage my type 2 diabetes. This medication combines sitagliptin and metformin to lower my blood sugar levels. I'm a little nervous about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones like lactic acidosis and pancreatitis. Has anyone else experienced these side effects? How did you handle them? I've been taking it for a week now and haven't noticed any major issues, but I'm curious to hear from others who have been on this medication longer. It's a bit confusing trying to figure out which side effects are serious enough to report to the FDA and which I can just talk about with my doctor, so any advice on that would be helpful too. I'm also unsure of how long it will take to see improvements in my blood sugar levels. Are there any tips or tricks to managing Zituvimet effectively?

I've been on Zituvimet for about three months now, and honestly, it's been a game-changer. My blood sugar levels have stabilized a lot more than with other medications I've tried. Just don't skip doses or forget a follow up. It took me a while to get used to the routine.

You might want to track your blood sugar levels more frequently when you first start taking it. That way, you can see if it's working and how your body is reacting. I found that keeping a log helped me and my doctor make adjustments as needed.

I also noticed some weight gain, but my doctor said it’s usually a part of how Zituvimet works. Be careful with diet as you continue. And you might want to talk to your doctor because you don’t want to gain more weight.

Has anyone else had issues with weight gain? I've noticed a bit of an increase, and I'm not sure if it's related to the medication or just part of the bigger picture.

I had to stop taking Zituvimet after experiencing severe joint pain. It was debilitating, and I had to switch to a different medication. I wish I had known about this potential side effect before starting. If you experience any unusual symptoms, don't hesitate to talk to your doctor.

I've been on Zituvimet for about six months now. It took a bit of time to adjust, especially with the potential for stomach upset, but things have stabilized. The worst side effect I experienced was some initial diarrhea, but that went away after a couple of weeks. I always keep a close eye on my blood sugar levels and blood pressure and noticed improvements after a few months. I'd recommend sticking with it if you're serious about managing your diabetes, but definitely keep in touch with your doctor about any concerns.

I've been on it for a year and never had any major side effects, just the occasional upset stomach. But seriously, the doc would’ve told you about this. Listen to your body, if it feels off - that's the most important indicator.
