I've been taking various NSAIDs for chronic back pain for years, but my doctor recently switched me to Naproxen Sodium CR 375mg Tabs (24h). He says the 'extended-release' part means I only need to take it once a day, which is a big plus. I'm curious about other's experiences. I've heard some people say it's not as strong as other NSAIDs, but my doctor says the dosing is just as effective. Has anyone else made the switch? How do you like it compared to other medications? Any side effects to look out for? I know the usual ones, but are there any less common ones I should be aware of?

I switched from Aleve and honestly, I didn't notice a huge difference in pain relief. But the convenience of once-a-day dosing is really nice. I just hope the long-term side effects aren't worse than other NSAIDs. The kidney issues and liver damage concerns are a little worrying.

I've been on it for a year now and haven't had any major issues. My doctor said the extended-release formula is gentler on the stomach compared to immediate-release NSAIDs. Just make sure to take it with food, like others mentioned. Plus, the convenience of once a day is awesome.

I feel like I get more heartburn with this one. Also, I’ve noticed some dizziness, which is a bit concerning.

Anyone else noticed more drowsiness than with other NSAIDs? I had to stop taking it because I was too tired to function.

I've heard mixed things about it. Some people love it, others hate it. Do any of you have experience with other extended-release NSAIDs like meloxicam? How does it compare?

My doctor said the side effects are similar to other NSAIDs. Just make sure to take it with food and stay hydrated.

I hope the liver damage risk isn't as bad as it sounds. I mean, it’s rare, right? As long as I’m staying hydrated and taking it with food, I should be good, right?

I had a really bad reaction to it - red, swollen skin and a high fever. I had to go to the ER. Turns out it was a severe skin reaction. Not sure if it was worth the risk, but I'll stick to something gentler.

I love how you only have to take it once a day. But I do worry about the potential side effects, especially the bleeding issues (vomiting blood, blood in urine). I’ll keep a close eye out for that.

I've been taking Naproxen CR for about 6 months now and it's been a game-changer for my arthritis. I used to take ibuprofen, but the switching to 24 hrs has been a life saver: no more remembering to take pills multiple times a day.
