I just took my Sitzmarks Capsules to check for constipation. The doctor said it's a simple process, but I'm still a bit nervous. Has anyone taken these before? Could you share your experience? How was the process? Did you experience any side effects? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I heard these can cause diarrhea in some people. Anyone else experience that? I'm already dealing with some GI issues, so I'm hoping it doesn't make things worse.

Honestly, I didn't feel much of anything after taking the Sitzmarks. Just stuck to my normal routine and made sure to stay hydrated. The most annoying part was the X-rays, but that's about it. Just be prepared to hold it in, can get a little uncomfortable. The best part is that once the markers have passed through your system, the test is over.

Wait, do you have to fast before taking these? I remember my doctor mentioning something about that. Maybe I misheard him. I'd hate to have to do another one of these tests.

I had some stomach cramps after taking them, but nothing too bad. Just be prepared for that possibility. Also, make sure to drink plenty of water.

I've had friends who had to avoid certain foods before taking these. I didn't have to, but I know some doctors recommend it. Just ask your doctor if you're unsure.

I had no clue what to expect when I took these, but my doctor walked me through the whole process. He said the markers are tiny and harmless. Just be patient and follow the instructions. If you have any questions, you can always call your doctor for advice. Good thing I asked about the side effects and how to report them to the FDA. I had no idea.

Just a heads up, if you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, like rash, hives, or swelling, seek medical help right away. It's rare, but better safe than sorry. Also, severe constipation or stomach pain can be a bad sign, so watch out for that too.

I've noticed some people get anxious about the markers showing up on the X-ray. Don't worry, they're harmless and will pass through your system just like regular stool. But make sure to report any side effects. I had to report mine to the FDA. It was a hassle, but necessary. You can do it online. Here's the link: https://www.fda.gov/medwatch

Man, I was so nervous when I took these. But it really isn't that bad. It helps to know the process. It's basically just a capsule like any other, and it's split into 4 sections - which let you know the passage rate of your stool. So it's got 24 tiny markers, and idea is to find out how quickly the markers are moving through your large intestine. So take the first 8 markers, and then follow up with X-rays every 24 hours. Good luck!

I took these a few months ago and it was a breeze. Just make sure to follow the instructions carefully and you'll be fine. The X-ray part is a bit awkward, but it's over quickly.
