Just Tried Hurricaine 20% Gel 30gm Watermelon for Canker Sores - Does It Really Work?
I've been suffering from canker sores for a while now, and my dentist recommended Hurricaine 20% Gel 30gm Watermelon. I picked up the Watermelon flavor because it sounded interesting. Has anyone else tried this? I applied it last night and it did numb the area quickly, but I'm not sure if it's going to help with the healing process. Also, the watermelon flavor is surprisingly good! But I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the rare but serious ones listed. Has anyone had any adverse reactions to this? I'm curious to hear your experiences!

I tried it once and suddenly felt like my mouth was full of cotton and it felt like a metalic taste lingered for hours afterwards. The Watermelon version did nothing to help the taste and the pain came right back after a while.
I've had pretty good results with Hurricaine. It was the only thing that ever worked when I had bad canker sores and it actually helped them heal faster. I'd recommend trying it out.

Make sure you watch out for any blue or gray discoloration! It might seem like it’s just the watermelon flavour, but it could be a sign of something really dangerous.
I think it was a bit too strong for me. I didn't like how the gel felt on my tongue. But it did help with pain while it lasted.
I got some serious pain in my mouth, but my pharmacist said it was fine and had me use it again. I think my canker sore did get better after a few days, but I'm still not sure about the whole experience..
I read about the serious side effects and it freaked me out a little. I think I'd rather try something else that doesn't have potential life-threatening issues.
I had a severe reaction with some topical anesthesia once and I never tried Hurricaine, but my friend swears by it and said it's been her go to for canker sores
It's worth a shot if you haven't tried anything else. Just be careful and follow the instructions closely.
I used it once. It was a Watermelon flavored nightmare. I've found myself in the ER after it burned my throat. Never again.
