Yesterday, I had a CT scan with Visipaque 320mg/ml, and I've been feeling a bit off. I know the side effects are rare, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced anything unusual. The injection site is a bit irritated, and I've been feeling unusually warm. Just curious if this is normal or if I should be concerned. How do others feel about the side effects listed? They sound pretty intense!

I had some weird skin reactions after using Visipaque. It was scary, but thankfully it went away after a few days. Just keep an eye on any changes and talk to your doctor if you're worried.

I had a severe allergic reaction to Visipaque—hives, tightness in the chest, the works. It was terrifying. Never again for me. If you're feeling really off, go get checked out.

The warm feeling is pretty common. It's just your body reacting to the contrast agent. As for the injection site, keep an eye on it. If it gets worse, see a doctor.

Honestly, I think the side effects listed are pretty scary. I'm not sure I'd want to go through with it if I had a choice. But I guess it's necessary sometimes, right?

Did you stay hydrated before and after the scan? Dehydration can sometimes make side effects worse. I always drink plenty of water before any procedure involving contrast agents.

I've had it a few times and never had any issues. Maybe you're just reacting to the anxiety of the procedure. Hope you feel better soon!
