I was recently prescribed Kcentra 500unit Inj Kit after an accident that required urgent surgery. I had been on warfarin, and my blood was too thin. I was terrified of the blood clot risks, but my doctor explained that in my situation, the benefits of stopping the bleeding were much more important. It was a tough call, but I'm glad I went through with it.
This thread is scary. How rare are these side effects? If it's a life-or-death situation, is it worth the risk?
I work at a hospital and I have seen some pretty nasty reactions to Kcentra. But in the cases where it was needed, it was absolutely necessary. Best thing is to not panic and follow the doctor's guidance.
Anyone else get really bad headaches after using Kcentra? It was awful, but I guess it's better than the alternative.
