I was recently prescribed Kcentra 500unit Inj Kit after an accident that required urgent surgery. I had been on warfarin, and my blood was too thin. The doctor administered Kcentra to help my blood clot faster. I'm grateful it worked, but I'm also worried about the side effects. Has anyone else used this? What were your experiences? I'm particularly concerned about the urgent side effects listed. Should I be worried about blood clots? I appreciate any insights or advice from those who have been through this. Please share any other experiences you have with Kcentra, it's side effects, or other medications.

I was terrified of the blood clot risks, but my doctor explained that in my situation, the benefits of stopping the bleeding were much more important. It was a tough call, but I'm glad I went through with it.

This thread is scary. How rare are these side effects? If it's a life-or-death situation, is it worth the risk?

I work at a hospital and I have seen some pretty nasty reactions to Kcentra. But in the cases where it was needed, it was absolutely necessary. Best thing is to not panic and follow the doctor's guidance.

Anyone else get really bad headaches after using Kcentra? It was awful, but I guess it's better than the alternative.

I had a similar experience with Kcentra. It was a lifesaver during my emergency surgery, but the side effects were a bit scary. I had some flushing and a rapid heartbeat, which was quite alarming. The doctors assured me it was normal, but it was still unnerving. I would recommend staying in close contact with your medical team if you experience any of the urgent side effects.
