I've been taking Keppra 1000mg tablets for about six months now to control my seizures, and while it's been effective, I've been experiencing some side effects that I'm not sure are normal. I've had a bit of dizziness and fatigue, but I'm also noticing some changes in my mood which are worrying me. I've heard others have similar experiences, but I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone else dealt with mood changes? Should I be worried about these symptoms, or are they just part of the deal with this medication? What should I do if I experience other symptoms such as hallucinations, severe dizziness, or skin reactions? I just want to make sure I'm doing everything I can to stay safe while managing my epilepsy. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone else had trouble sleeping? I've been tossing and turning a lot more since I started. It's tough because I already have trouble with insomnia, but it’s been worse lately. Also, anyone else dealing with frequent headaches?

I've been on Keppra for a few years, and I can definitely relate to the mood changes. It's tough, but my doctor adjusted my dosage, and it helped a bit. Definitely talk to your neurologist about it.

I've been on Keppra for a while and never had any issues with hallucinations, but it’s good to be cautious. It’s good to know how to report severe side effects. I think I’ll call the FDA to let them know too. Thanks for the reminder! Stay safe.

I've had Keppra for a while and haven't had any issues with hallucinations or anything severe, but I do get really tired sometimes. What dose are you on? I'm on 1500mg and sometimes wonder if that's too much.

I had a really bad reaction to Keppra—I developed hives and had trouble breathing. Scariest thing ever. Turned out I was having an allergic reaction. I switched to a different medication and it's been fine since. Also, worth noting that some people have to switch due to similar allergic symptoms.

I noticed some skin irritation when I started. It turned out I was allergic to one of the inactive ingredients. I switched to a generic version and it went away. Might be worth checking out.

Side effects suck, but Keppra has been a lifesaver for me. Just make sure to report any serious symptoms to your doctor right away. It can be scary but it’s important to stay safe. Stay strong!

I feel ya on the dizziness. It's a bummer, but it usually passes after a little while. Just be careful if you're driving or operating heavy machinery. And if it gets worse, talk to your doctor. Good luck!
