I recently underwent a procedure where Ketalar (Ketamine) was used for anesthesia. As someone with a history of mental health issues, I've been reading up on Ketamine to understand its potential effects beyond anesthesia. I was surprised to see the list of possible side effects, especially the serious ones. I'm trying to determine whether the benefits outweigh the risks, especially considering its use in treating certain mental health conditions. Did anyone else have experiences with Ketalar, either for anesthesia or mental health treatment? Were the side effects manageable, or were they severe?

Ketamine has been used in mental health treatment for decades. It can have profound effects on depression and PTSD, but it's crucial to be closely monitored. The side effects are usually short-lived, but they can be intense. Make sure you're in a safe and controlled environment when you're taking it.

The dissociation part is what made me the most anxious, but I survived and the side effects were only temporary. It really was a 'trip' and felt like I was having a lucid dream or something.

I think Ketamine is being oversold as a cure-all for mental health issues. It's a powerful tool but has very serious risks for some people. I'm glad the FDA is keeping a close eye on its use.

In addition to the severe side effects, addiction is a real risk with this stuff. Always do your research and make sure you're taking it under the supervision of a trained medical professional.

I had a bad reaction to Ketamine during a procedure. I felt like I was having an out-of-body experience, and I was extremely disoriented for a while after it wore off. I would definitely be hesitant to use it again, even for mental health treatment.

I've heard it can cause blurry vision and double vision after the procedure. I experienced this personally and was quite concerning when I first noticed it. But a few hours later, these symptoms wore off.

I know someone who had a really positive experience with Ketamine for severe depression. It helped them when nothing else did. But it's not a cure-all, and it should be used with caution. I had no idea about the hallucination risk until they mentioned it. I'm glad they were in a safe environment.
