Keveyis 50mg Tablets: A Lifesaver for Primary Periodic Paralysis?
Has anyone here tried Keveyis (dichlorphenamide) for treating primary periodic paralysis? I've been recently diagnosed and my doctor prescribed Keveyis 50mg tablets. I've read about the serious side effects, but I'm hoping to hear from people who have experience with this medication. How has it worked for you? What side effects did you encounter, and how did you manage them? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've been on Keveyis for about six months now, and while it has helped with the paralysis, I've had some pretty severe side effects. I experienced muscle cramps and abnormal heartbeats, which were really frightening. I had to adjust my diet and increase my potassium intake to manage these symptoms. It's important to work closely with your doctor to monitor these side effects and make adjustments as needed. Also, keep an eye out for signs of acidosis.
I've been on Keveyis for a while and it's been a rollercoaster. Initially, I had some really bad side effects like confusion and memory problems, but my doctor adjusted the dosage and it's been better since then. Just be persistent with your doctor and don't give up if you have side effects.
I had no idea about the serious side effects. I might need to have a talk with my doctor about this. I thought it was just a matter of taking the pills.
I'm really glad you brought this up. I've been on the fence about trying Keveyis, but hearing positive experiences makes me more hopeful.
I've been on Keveyis for about a year now, and while it has helped manage my primary periodic paralysis, I've had to be really careful about monitoring my potassium levels. I've had a few scary moments with muscle spasms and abnormal heartbeats, but working closely with my doctor has helped manage these symptoms. It's definitely a medication that requires close monitoring, but it can make a big difference in managing this condition. Walk before you run with this one.
Dizzy with this medication. Can't say I like it.
Keveyis has been a game-changer for me. I was diagnosed with primary periodic paralysis a few years back, and since starting Keveyis, the frequency of my attacks has significantly decreased. However, I did experience some dizziness and mild stomach upset at first, but those symptoms subsided after a few weeks. Just make sure to stay hydrated and monitor your potassium levels.
Be careful with this medication. I had a severe allergic reaction to it, including hives and difficulty breathing. I had to stop taking it immediately and seek medical attention. This underscores the importance of being aware of the urgent side effects and seeking help right away if you experience any of them. Sulfa allergy, anyone? Be careful.
I've heard really weird things about this medication. I'm not sure it's worth it.
I've been lucky with Keveyis. My only side effects were a bit of a headache and some dizziness, but nothing compared to the paralysis attacks I used to have. Just make sure to follow your doctor's advice and stay vigilant about any potential side effects.
