I've been prescribed Kristalose 20gm Oral Sol Packets to manage my constipation and reduce ammonia levels due to liver issues. It's been a few weeks, and while I've seen some improvement, I've also experienced some uncomfortable side effects like burping and gas. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I'm also curious if anyone has any tips for minimizing these side effects. Additionally, I'm worried about the potential for more severe side effects, like diarrhea or allergic reactions. How common are these? I'd appreciate any insights or advice from others who have used this medication.

I had diarrhea the first week I was on this, but it went away after that. Just make sure you stay hydrated and monitor your symptoms. And if something feels off get checked out.

I was really worried about the high blood sugar symptoms, but honestly, I haven't had any issues with that. Just keep an eye out and if you feel something strange contact your doctor.

I think the side effects really depend on the dosage. I started with a lower dose and gradually increased it, and that seemed to help with the gas and burping. Just don't rush it.

I think Kristalose is overrated. I switched to a different laxative and haven't looked back. The side effects were just too much for me.

I have a question—how long did it take for you to see improvements? I've only been on it for a week and haven't noticed much yet.

I've been on Kristalose for a while now, and while it did help with my constipation, the gas was unbearable at first. I found that taking it with food helped a lot. As for the severe side effects, I haven't had any, but I did talk to my doctor about them, and he assured me they are rare.

I think people underestimate how important it is to stay hydrated while on this medication. Drink lots of water and you'll be fine.
