I was recently prescribed Lacosamide 200mg Tablets for my partial-onset seizures, and I've had a mix of experiences with the medication. On the one hand, it has definitely helped reduce the frequency of my seizures, which is a huge relief. However, I've also encountered some side effects that have been challenging to manage. I've noticed dizziness, drowsiness, and some memory issues, which have made it difficult to go about my daily routine. I've also had some mild skin rashes that I wasn't sure were related to the medication. I'm curious if anyone else has had similar experiences with Lacosamide and how they've managed these side effects. Did anyone else have to change their dosage or switch medications altogether? I've heard that some people experience a higher risk of suicidal thoughts or actions with this drug, so I'm also anxious about that aspect. Have any other patients dealt with this? I really want to find a balance where the benefits outweigh the side effects. Also, how did you handle the potential depression and anxiety that can come with this drug? It would be great to hear from other users about their experiences and any tips they might have.

I didn't experience any severe side effects, but I did notice some memory loss. It was frustrating at times, but manageable. I started keeping a journal to help me remember things.

For me the dizziness was the worst. I ended up switching to a lower dose and that helped a lot. Also, staying hydrated and eating well seemed to make a big difference.

I actually increased my dose gradually and it helped me avoid the dizziness at higher doses. It really was a matter of adjusting the medication correctly for my needs.

The doc kept saying that it was important to keep trying to tweak my dosage so that I could see the benefits. Im so relieved I did. I feel so much better and the side effects have been minimal.

I’d be careful with the suicidal thoughts warning. If you are having those feelings, go to the hospital. It’s serious and not something to mess around with.
