Just started Lamivudine last week. Fingers crossed I won't have any issues! Anybody got any tips?
I've been on Lamivudine for a year now, and honestly, it's been a game-changer. I've had some minor side effects like headaches and dizziness, but nothing too severe. The most important thing is to stay on top of your liver and blood tests so you can catch any big changes early. Same as most doctors say: If you experience severe stomach pain, vomit like crazy, or get really sleepy, get to a doctor ASAP. Could be pancreatitis.
Keep an eye out for the lesser-known side effects too. I developed weird burning sensations in my feet and legs. No big deal, right? Wrong. It got so bad I had to stop taking it.
I had a bad reaction to Lamivudine—developed this strange rash, and I was feeling really weak. It turns out I was one of the unlucky ones who get that weird allergic reaction. No joke, the er doc thought I was having a heart attack but it was just the rash and lactic acidosis.
Who else has had that weird tingling sensation? I get it every time I take my dose.
