Hello everyone. I was prescribed Lamotrigine 5mg Chewable/Disperse Tablets to manage my epilepsy and bipolar disorder. I've been on it for a few months now, and I wanted to share my experience. The medication has been effective in calming the overactive nerve signals in my brain, but the gradual dose increase was challenging. My doctor stressed the importance of starting low and increasing slowly to avoid a serious skin rash. I've had some side effects, like dizziness and drowsiness, but nothing too severe. I'm just curious to know if anyone else has had similar experiences or different side effects? I'm also wondering if anyone has any tips on managing the side effects. Thanks!

Why am I getting this rash? It's red, swollen, and blistered. I have to get to the hospital with this. I'm worried and scared, but I'm dealing with it. I miss my selfies and the dizziness!

Lamotrigine saved my life. I had a serious skin rash but was lucky to catch it early. Stay vigilant and don't miss any appointments. Any signs of anemia go to the doctor.

I have to disagree. The side effects were terrible for me, but I stuck with it because it helped a lot. I had a lot of flu-like symptoms for the first month. The dizziness and drowsiness were manageable.

I've been on Lamotrigine for a year now. The side effects were tough at first but gradually went away. Dizziness was the worst, but I found that taking it with food helped a lot. Just wanted to add, if you feel like you have an allergic reaction, go to the ER ASAP. It's not something to mess around with.
