As a new mom, I've been wondering if Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream 7gm is worth the hype. It's supposed to be great for soothing and protecting sore, cracked nipples, but I've heard mixed reviews. Some friends swear by it, while others say it didn't work for them. I've also seen some scary side effects listed, like allergic reactions and skin infections. How common are these? Should I be worried? And is it really safe for my baby if I don't remove it before feeding? I'm looking for real experiences and advice from moms who've used it. Thanks!

I didn't have any issues with Lansinoh, but I did find that applying it right after a shower worked best for me. I'd pat my nipples dry and then apply a generous amount. It helped keep them moisturized and protected throughout the day. My nipples healed up in no time.

Hard pass on the lanolin. Try Earth Mama or Motherlove herbs. I used them both, and I can't remember what I did before I knew they existed.

I have to say, I tried nothing but Lansinoh, and my nipples were better in a day. I guess I got lucky. I have no idea how it worked so fast. I just used it religiously after every feeding. It made a huge difference in how comfortable I was.

I'm not a fan. I like a cream with some vitamin e and other nourishing ingredients. It was just too greasy for me.

I've heard that some people get little bumps or pimples from Lansinoh. Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do about it?

I used it, but it stung when I put it on. Couple of times I felt a weird burning before it got better. Maybe it was just me, it didn't give me any side effects. My boobs got better but it was a bit uncomfortable.

I tried Lansinoh and it gave me a nasty rash. I had to stop using it immediately. I think it might be because I'm allergic to lanolin. Be careful, and if you see any signs of an allergic reaction, stop using it right away.
