I had the same dizziness issue and it was a nightmare. I thought I was going crazy. Turns out it's a side effect. I switched to a different PPI and all is fine now. But be it is a rare and serious side effect. Your doctor should have warned you about these.
If anyone experiences dizziness or fainting, please go to the ER. Unlike mild problems like headache, these can be serious side effects.
I had a weird rash while I was on Lansoprazole. Turns out it was an allergic reaction. I had to stop taking it immediately. Luckily, my doctor switched me to something else that works just as well.
I just started Lansoprazole and so far, so good! No side effects yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I've heard horror stories, so I'm a bit nervous.
