I've been taking lansoprazole in the ODT (orally disintegrating tablet) form to manage my acid reflux, I've had a pretty good experience with it. The tablets dissolve quickly on my tongue, making it easy to take, especially when I'm feeling nauseous. However, I've heard about some pretty serious side effects that can occur. Has anyone else experienced any of the urgent side effects like severe allergic reactions, electrolyte problems, or kidney issues? I'm curious what others have to say about the potential side effects of this medication. What are some good ways to mitigate these risks?

I've been taking lansoprazole for a while and haven't had any major issues, but I did notice that I felt a bit jittery and had some muscle cramps a few times. I mentioned it to my doctor and he said it could be a sign of electrolyte imbalance. I've been trying to eat more foods rich in electrolytes and it seems to have helped. It's important to pay attention to these things, even if they seem minor.

I didn't have any of the serious side effects, but I did experience a lot of constipation. My doctor suggested increasing my fiber intake and drinking more water, which helped a lot.

I switched from omeprazole to lansoprazole ODT because I was having trouble with omeprazole. I've noticed less side effects with lansoprazole, but I did experience some dizziness at first. It went away after a few days though. I guess everyone's body reacts differently to medications.

I was a bit worried about the potential side effects too, so I started taking a probiotic supplement to help with any possible stomach issues. It seems to have helped me avoid any major problems so far.

Have any of you experienced the skin reactions mentioned in the warnings? I've seen some horror stories online and it's got me a bit spooked.

I had a friend who took lansoprazole and ended up with some pretty nasty side effects. She had severe diarrhea and it was a while before her doctor realized it was due to the medication. Luckily, she's fine now, but it was a scary experience. I'd advise anyone taking this to be aware of the symptoms and contact their doctor if they experience any unusual issues.

I've been on lansoprazole ODT for a few months now and it's been a game-changer for my heartburn. No serious side effects so far, just some occasional headaches.

I've been taking this medication for a couple of weeks now, and I must say, I'm really impressed with how quickly the tablets dissolve. It's so convenient, especially when I'm on the go. I haven't experienced any side effects so far, but I'm definitely keeping an eye out for any symptoms. I think a lot of people could benefit from this medication if they're struggling with acid reflux or ulcers.
