I was recently prescribed Latanoprost 0.005% Opth Sol 3x2.5ml for glaucoma. It's been a few weeks, and I've noticed some side effects. My vision has been a bit blurry at times, and I've experienced some stinging sensations when I apply the drops. I've also noticed that my eyelashes are getting darker and thicker, which seems strange. Has anyone else experienced these side effects? Are they permanent? I'm a bit concerned about the potential for more severe side effects, like changes in eye color or discharge. I'm wondering if these side effects are worth the benefits of lowering eye pressure. I've heard that some people experience changes in eyelash growth. Is this common? If you've had to switch medications because of side effects, what did you switch to? Which symptoms prompted the change? Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I absolutely hate the stinging sensation. It's like a mild burn every time I put the drops in. I'm just waiting for my next appointment to discuss switching to a different medication. If you haven't tried the gel version it is less of a burn.

I've been using Latanoprost for a few months and haven't had too many issues. Just a bit of irritation sometimes, but it's not too bad. I hope it keeps working for me!

I've been using the drops for a while now and haven't noticed any changes to my eye color. These eyelashes are great though.

I switched to Latanoprost because I couldn't tolerate the side effects of my previous medication. The blurring and stinging have been manageable. I'm just glad it's helping to keep my eye pressure under control. It gets WORSE if you don't follow the directions of the doctor.
