I've been prescribed Stalevo 50 Tablets to manage my Parkinson's symptoms. I've noticed that they help extend the 'on' time when my symptoms are well-controlled, but I'm curious about the experiences of others. How have you found managing the side effects? I've heard some people mention hallucinations and sudden sleepiness. Anyone else deal with these issues? If so, how did you handle them. Have any of you reported side effects to the FDA? Plus, how do you manage the tradeoff between controlling symptoms and potential side effects? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Has anyone else noticed any changes in their mood while on Stalevo? I've felt more irritable lately and I'm not sure if it's the medication or just stress.

I've had some weird urges since starting Stalevo—like gambling and spending money. It’s definitely tough to deal with. I've had to cut up my credit cards to keep myself in check. Talk to your doctor if you experience anything like this.

When I first started taking Stalevo, I had trouble sleeping. Changing my bedtime routine helped a lot. Try drinking chamomile tea before bed and avoid screens.

What about the constipation and diarrhea issue? Anyone have tips for dealing with that?

I've had a pretty good experience with Stalevo. The combination of levodopa, carbidopa, and entacapone has really helped with the stiffness and tremors. I make sure to report all my side effects to the FDA as well through their MedWatch program. It's important to keep track of these things.
