I recently started using Leucovorin Calcium 100mg Inj as part of my chemotherapy treatment. It's been prescribed to protect my healthy cells from the harmful effects of methotrexate. I've heard it can also enhance the effectiveness of other cancer medicines and even treat certain types of anemia. However, I'm a bit concerned about the side effects, especially the urgent ones like allergic reactions and seizures. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your journey and any tips you might have for managing side effects. Also, how do you know if what you're experiencing is a serious side effect, and should it be reported to the FDA? Thanks in advance!

If you experience any side effects like seizures or severe dizziness, don't wait! Go to the ER right away. It’s always better to be safe and get it checked out immediately.

Don't forget to report side effects to the FDA. It helps everyone in the long run by getting more data on these medications.

I had no idea this was even a thing. It’s amazing how much this can help. I’m glad I found this thread.

I had a scary experience with allergic reactions. I started getting hives and itching all over my body. I called my doctor immediately and they told me to stop using Leucovorin until further notice. It turned out I was having an allergic reaction and they switched me to another medication. Be very cautious!

I’m glad you’re asking about this—it's important to be informed. Make sure to read the documentation carefully and don't hesitate to contact your doctor with any questions or concerns. Sometimes the smallest detail can make a big difference.

I wish they made a version that wasn't an injection. It’s so hard to do it myself! But I understand why they need to inject it directly.

I had no idea Leucovorin could also help with anemia. My doctor mentioned it once in passing and I forgot about it. Good to know it has multiple benefits!

I've been on Leucovorin for a while now, and it's been a lifesaver. It really helps with the side effects of methotrexate. Just make sure to stay vigilant about allergic reactions and report any severe symptoms right away. It's better to be safe than sorry.
