Libervant is a thin film that you place inside your cheek to quickly stop seizure clusters (groups of seizures) in people 12 years and older. It contains diazepam, a medicine that calms overactive brain activity. This new form of medication seems like it could be a game-changer for managing seizure clusters, but I have some concerns about side effects and long term impacts. I want to know what others have experienced or learned about Libervant. Has anyone tried this yet? What have your experiences been like? Are there any strategies to minimize the side effects? Do you think this will be helpful in the long run? Have you had any issues getting it prescribed? How does the convenience of the film compare to other forms of medication?

My doc mentioned Libervant, but I’m hesitant because of the warnings. Has anyone had issues with the allergic reactions? That’s a bit scary. What if it gets worse before it gets better?

I was shocked by some of the severe side effects listed. Has anyone experienced anything really bad? I'm worried about the suicidal thoughts part. How do you even monitor that?

I've been using this for a few months now, and it's made a huge difference. No more panic when a seizure cluster hits because I know Libervant will stop it quickly. The side effects are there, but they're minor compared to the relief it brings. Just make sure to use it exactly as prescribed and talk to your doctor if you have any concerns. It's a bit pricey, but worth it for the peace of mind.

I've been using this for my kid and haven't seen any side effects yet. Knock on wood! It's been a game-changer for us. We were having constant ER visits for clusters, and now we have this as a reliable tool. Just make sure to check with your doctor to see if this is the right choice for your kid. You really need to stay on top of the dosing and timing, too. If you’re not careful, you might end up with them being too drowsy.

I’ve had a few issues with getting it prescribed. My insurance didn't want to cover it at first. It took a lot of back and forth with the doctor's office to finally get it approved. But it’s worth it. I hope more people can get access to this.

This seems like a good option for those who need quick relief from seizures. It is a bit pricey, however.

I just started using Libervant for my teenager, and it's been a lifesaver. The film is so easy to use, and it stops the clusters quickly. I was worried about the side effects, but we haven't had any major issues so far. Just a bit of drowsiness, but that's manageable. I do wish the doctor had warned us about the risk of suicidal thoughts. I'm keeping a close eye on my kid's moods. Anyone else dealing with that concern?

It’s a bit pricey, but worth it. I've seen fewer clusters since starting. Plus, the convenience of the film is amazing.

I’m on the fence about this one. The convenience is great, but the side effect list is pretty scary. Anyone had any issues with memory loss or hallucinations?

I think the biggest concern is the potential for suicidal thoughts. I mean, that's serious. I know it's rare, but it's something to keep an eye on. Has anyone experienced this or know someone who has?
