I've recently heard about Libervant 7.5mg Buccal Film, a thin film placed inside the cheek to help manage acute repetitive seizures. It contains diazepam, which calms overactive brain activity. Has anyone had experience with this medication? I'm particularly interested in learning about the side effects and how well it works in emergencies. I've seen some of the urgent side effects listed, but I'd love to hear from parents or caregivers who have used it. Did the benefits outweigh the risks? Any tips for administering the film effectively? Let's share our experiences and insights!

I really hope the film works well for my son as our recent trials with Depakote have been a horror. I love that it can be used a bit before seizures start when we see the warning signs.

Libervant seems like a lifesaver for seizure emergencies, but I wish the side effects list wasn't so scary. I'm nervous about my son having hallucinations. Has anyone experienced these?

Can someone remind me exactly HOW you administer the film? Is it just a matter of sticking it in the cheek and hoping for the best?

I'm just glad there are more options out there for managing seizures. Being prepared with something like Libervant can make all the difference in an emergency. Hope it works well for everyone else.

We used Libervant in combination with other medications during a seizure cluster emergency and it worked well. The administration was easy, and the film dissolved quickly. We did notice some drowsiness, but that was manageable. It's nice to have something that can be used quickly and effectively in emergencies. Highly recommend.

I had no idea something like this existed! That's so much easier than trying to get a kid to swallow a pill during a seizure. Hope more people know about it.

I've seen some crazy side effects with other medications, so I'm glad Libervant seems to be manageable. Just keep an eye on those side effects and stay in touch with your doctor.
