Lice Killing Max Strength Shampoo & Conditioner: My Experience and Must-Know Side Effects
I recently used Lice Killing Max Strength Shampoo & Conditioner on my kids after a lice infestation at their school. The product claims to kill both lice and their eggs (nits), and the active ingredients are supposed to paralyze and kill the pests effectively. The process was straightforward: we applied the shampoo, left it on for the recommended time, and rinsed thoroughly. We repeated the process a few days later to ensure all lice and nits were eliminated. The shampoo worked well, but I did notice some side effects like scalp irritation. The instructions warned about potential allergic reactions, which is terrifying, but thankfully, we didn't experience any severe symptoms. I'm curious to know if others had similar experiences or any tips for making the process easier. Also, has anyone reported side effects to the FDA? I'm wondering if anyone has found alternative remedies that work just as well without the risk of side effects.

Just used this for the first time and it was super effective. I didn't experience any side effects either, which was a relief. I did notice a bit of scalp irritation, but it went away after a few washes.
I thought this shampoo was supposed to be easy to use, but it was a nightmare. My kids hated it, and it left their hair feeling really dry. And that smelly stuff on your kids' heads for hours is just..ew..
I've used this shampoo multiple times over the years for my kids. The key is to follow the instructions carefully and comb through their hair thoroughly to remove all the nits. It can be time-consuming, but it's worth it to get rid of the problem completely. Combining nit combing with this kills the problem.
I got a rash after using this shampoo. Not as bad as some of the others mentioned, but it was definitely uncomfortable. I ended up switching to a different brand that had milder side effects.
I have a friend who had a severe allergic reaction to this shampoo. She ended up in the ER with hives and trouble breathing. It's scary how these things can happen. If you notice any of those signs, get to a doctor immediately.
This shampoo is a lifesaver! It killed the lice, but the conditioner didn't work so well. I had to use a separate conditioner to keep their hair from feeling all gross.
I tried the tea tree oil route, but it didn’t work as well as this shampoo. I think for severe infestations, you need something strong like this shampoo. But definitely try to mitigate with home remedies if you can. It helped.
I used this product last year and it worked like a charm! My daughter had lice for weeks, and this shampoo finally got rid of them. My only comment is it’s quite smelly —but I guess that’s because it has to kill those nasty critters. It definitely helped us avoid a more elaborate lice treatment process.
Lice are the worst. I used this shampoo and it worked, but I also made sure to wash all bedding, towels, and clothes in hot water to kill any lingering lice or eggs. The extra time is worth it.
