I recently started using Lidocaine 4% Cream for some minor skin irritation, and while it has helped with the itching, I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. Has anyone else used this cream and experienced any of the urgent side effects listed? I've heard about rare but serious issues like methemoglobinemia and acidosis, which are pretty scary. I'm not sure if I should be concerned or if these are just listed for caution. Any insights or personal experiences would be appreciated!

I had a terrible experience with Lidocaine. I used it for a tattoo and ended up with some serious skin issues around the area. It was red and swollen and oozing. Had to go to the doctor and needed to get some antibiotics. By far the worst experience I've ever had with a topical cream.

I had a minor allergic reaction once—just some itching and redness. I stopped using it and it cleared up. But yeah, the serious stuff is rare. Just keep an eye out for anything unusual.

I've had no issues with it so far. I used it for a minor skin issue, and it worked perfectly. Just make sure to use it as directed and keep an eye out for any signs of infection or allergic reaction.

Be very careful with this stuff. I had a friend who used it on a large area of skin and ended up with some pretty serious symptoms. She had to go to the ER. If you start feeling lightheaded or confused, get medical help right away.

I used Lidocaine for a minor procedure, and it worked great with no issues. But I did notice a bit of numbness around the area which was a bit strange. I was wondering if that's normal? It wasn't severe or anything like that.
