I've been prescribed Lidocaine 4% Cream for some minor skin issues, but the side effects list is quite scary. Has anyone else used this? How was your experience? I'm particularly concerned about the more serious side effects mentioned. Should I be worried?

If you're using it rectally, be extra careful. I had some pain and bleeding, but it could just be my sensitivity. Just be cautious and monitor yourself.
One time, I applied too much and my skin was numb for ages. It was scary but also helped with the pain.
I feel like doctors don’t always explain the risks fully. I wish I’d known about the potential for serious issues before using it. Make sure to ask your doctor about any concerns you have.
Seriously, though, if you start feeling really sleepy or confused, head to the hospital. It could be a sign of methemoglobinemia, which is no joke.
