I've recently been prescribed Lidocaine 5% Anorectal Cream for hemorrhoids, and I've got some questions for anyone who's used it. The side effects list is pretty scary, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had any bad experiences with it. Also, how long does it typically take to work? I've got this big event coming up and I'm hoping it'll kick in before then. I've also been wondering if it's safe to use alongside other creams or ointments that I've been using for my hemorrhoids. Any advice or personal experiences would be really appreciated! Thanks!

Hey, the worst side effects seem super rare. I've used it a few times and nothing bad happened. Plus, it really helps with the discomfort. Just be careful and read the label. If you're still nervous, talk to your doctor.

I've been using it for a few days now, and it's been great so far. No side effects yet, but I'll keep an eye out. Just make sure to buy the actual Lidocaine 5% Anorectal Cream and not some generic knock-off.

The only time I had a bad reaction was because I used way too much. I thought, the more the better, but it just made things worse. Stick to the recommended amount. Also, I've used it alongside some other ointments and there have been no problems.

This stuff can be really helpful, but be careful with the dosage. I accidentally used too much once and ended up feeling like I had no control over my bowels. Not fun. Stick to the recommended amount and you'll be alright.

I had some mild irritation at the site of application, but it went away after a couple of days. Just make sure to use it as directed and you should be fine. Also, it does take about 10-15 minutes to start working.

I just started using this for anal fissures. It’s pretty effective, but I’m curious how long it lasts. I mean, I don’t want to rely on it forever, you know?
