I've been prescribed Lidocaine/Prilocaine 2.5% Cream for a minor skin procedure. It's supposed to help with the pain, but the side effects list is pretty long and scary. Has anyone else used this? What was your experience like? I'm particularly worried about the serious side effects. They mention things like methemoglobinemia, which sounds really bad. Any doctors or medical professionals out there who can shed some light on this?

Did anyone else notice any change in how you perceive hot or cold temperatures? I had that happen once, and it was really weird.

I'm a bit worried about the depression side effect. Has anyone experienced this or know more about it?

Be careful with this stuff. I had a friend who used it and ended up feeling really lightheaded and dizzy. She had to sit down for a while before she felt better.

I've used it a few times for minor procedures and never had any issues. Just make sure to apply it correctly and give it enough time to work before the procedure. Follow the doctor's instructions to the letter.
