I've been struggling with severe acne for years, and my dermatologist finally prescribed Absorica 25mg Capsules. I know it's a strong medication with serious side effects, especially for women who can get pregnant. I'm on two forms of birth control and getting monthly pregnancy tests, but I'm still nervous. Has anyone else tried Absorica? What was your experience like? Were the side effects as bad as they sound? I'm really hoping this works, but I want to know what to expect. Also, did anyone have trouble finding it covered by insurance?

My insurance wouldn't cover Absorica, so I had to pay out of pocket. It was expensive, but my doctor said it was the best option for my severe acne. I had to pay around $300 a month for the capsules. But, it worked. Thoughts on if its worth it for you will vary on how bad the acne is for you.

I had some really bad joint pain while on Absorica. My doctor said it's a known side effect, but it was awful. I had to take painkillers just to get through the day. I ended up stopping the medication because of it. I think I would have stuck with it if I hadn't had that problem.

I'm on month 3 of Absorica and my skin is finally clearing up. The dryness is awful, but I'm determined to stick it out. The birth control rules are a pain, but my doctor makes it easy with regular check-ins. I really hope this works out. My acne was really bad before.

I had the worst depression while on Absorica. My doctor didn't believe it was the medication at first, but it got so bad I had to stop taking it. I mean, I was crying for no reason at all. It was awful.
