I was diagnosed with Hypophosphatasia in 2015 and my pediatrician has recently started me on Strensiq. My parents did some research and found reports of positive outcomes and I could see my bones become stronger and healthier. They had concerns related to the possible side effects of Strensiq, including reports of skin reactions and changes in urination. However, after extensive research, we became comfortable with the decision and we were ready for the treatment to begin. My parents even followed the the steps in the Strensiq Hypophosphatasia treatment guide. Can someone who has taken this medicine confirm that it's as effective as people say? Are there any side effects not listed on the typical medication leaflet that I should be worried about?

In terms of injection sites, rotating them helped a lot. I also found that using a numbing cream before injection made the process a lot more bearable.

Strensiq has been a game-changer for my daughter. Her bones are much stronger, and she's more active than ever. We did have some minor injection site reactions, but nothing severe. Just make sure to follow the injection guidelines closely.

My brother has HPP and we're really considering this treatment. The side effects are scary, but the benefits seem worth it. Has anyone had experience with both the good and bad?

This thread is a gold mine of information. Thanks, everyone, for sharing your experiences! It's comforting to know we're not alone in this.

I had a bad reaction to Strensiq. I experienced thick skin and lumps at the injection site. If you notice any of these side effects, go to your doctor right away.

I was really worried about the allergic reactions, but so far, so good. Knocks on wood.

I wish more people knew about HPP. It's such a rare condition that even some doctors aren't familiar with it.

I had no idea this drug existed until now. Is it covered by insurance? My family's insurance has been pretty strict lately.

I've had some trouble with urination changes, but my doctor says it's a sign that the drug is working. It's weird, but if it's helping, I'll take it. Just stay on top of your check-ups.
