Just started Tolvaptan 60mg/30mg Tablet Pak for my ADPKD. I've been drinking plenty of water like the instructions say, but I'm curious about everyone else's experience. Are there any tips out there to manage the side effects or make the medication process smoother? I've been dealing with some fatigue, but I'm hoping it gets better with time. How do you guys handle the frequent trips to the bathroom?

Another thing I've been wondering about, how does the medication interact with other kidney-related medications? I'm currently on a few other prescripted drugs, and was wondering if anyone else has had any issues.

I've been curious about long-term use: Is this something that you need to take indefinitely? If so, how does everyone handle the financial side? My insurance covers a bit, but it's still a dent in our monthly budget.

Long-term use is definitely something to discuss with your doctor. For me, it's been a journey, I have to admit. The financial part can be tough, but it may just be worth it when you look at the health benefits.

This is a good reminder to drink more water. I often forget to hydrate regularly. I'm glad this thread exists.

The first few weeks were tough with the side effects, but they've eased up a bit since then. I've also noticed that my kidney function tests have shown some improvement, so I'm hoping that continues. It's worth the trade-off for me. Just make sure to get regular checkups and communicate with your doctor about any changes.

I always thought a lot of water would be a hassle but it's a great reminder to stay hydrated. Otherwise it's been a game-changer for my kidney function. Do consult with a healthcare professional before making any dietary changes.

I've been on Tolvaptan for a few months now, and the dehydration and frequent urination are definitely the most challenging parts. I keep a water bottle with me at all times and set reminders to drink. It's become a way of life, but it's manageable.

For those experiencing a lot of fatigue, try to listen to your body and rest when you need to. It's okay to take it easy sometimes. Also, consider talking to your doctor about adapting your diet to support your kidney health, they can give you some useful insights.

Is anyone else experiencing a lot of fatigue? Sometimes I feel like I can't get out of bed in the mornings. And anyone have any idea if this is something that will go away with time?

I haven't had any issues with other medications, but everyone's body reacts differently. Always good to consult with a doctor about interactions.

I've been on Tolvaptan for over a year now, and while the side effects were tough at first, they've become more manageable. I've also noticed that my kidney function has stabilized, which is a huge relief. Just remember to stay hydrated and listen to your body.
