Life-changing or dangerous? - My experience with Hurricaine One 20% Spray for canker sores
I've been using Hurricaine One 20% Spray for my canker sores, and it's been a game-changer. The numbing effect is almost instant, and it makes eating and talking so much more comfortable. However, I've been reading about the potential side effects, and I'm starting to question if it's safe to continue using it. Has anyone else experienced any serious side effects? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. I want to know if I'm overreacting or if I should consider switching to a different treatment.

It's not worth it for me. I get severe tingling in my mouth for half an hour. It doesn't really stop the pain either. It just numbs the pain. I'm better off biting the bullet for 10-12 hours and letting it heal on its own. I'll stay away from this stuff.
Just got done talking to my dentist and he recommended trying this out. He said that it should be safe as long as you use it as directed and don't leave it on for too long. You should be okay. He also mentioned that it's been around for a long time. I've taken his word for it.
I’ve had an allergic reaction to benzocaine before. I didn't even think about that when it was recommended to me. I'm glad it's so effective for those who can use it, but it's something I'm avoiding.
I've had severe allergic reactions to other topical anesthetics, so I started using the spray cautiously. The tingling sensation is intense, but the downside is that I have to wait a few minutes before I can eat. It can't be used more than a few times a day, so it's not a long-term solution for me.
I've used Hurricaine One a few times and it’s worked great for me. I've only used it for a day or two at a time and never had any problems. I would never use it for more than a couple of days at a time though.
I had no idea benzocaine could cause such severe side effects. I've used it for years without issue, but this is scary stuff. I'll be more diligent about monitoring symptoms.
I've never had any side effects, but I've also never left it on for very long. I use it, and then wash it off after 10-15 minutes. It's great for quick relief, but it's not worth continuing to use if it's causing issues. If you're experiencing anything unusual, talk to your doctor.
If you're experiencing side effects, you should definitely talk to your doctor. They might be able to recommend a different treatment. But, it is good to know the risks and symptoms
I’ve had really bad canker sores, and this spray has been a lifesaver. It makes it bearable and I'm never going back.
If you develop a serious condition such as swelling of the face or lips you should absolutely stop using it and call your doctor immediately. It's a medical emergency at that point. For other side effects you might get, just be aware. If it's a mild rash or tingling, just monitor it. If it gets worse, then seek medical attention. Don't wait and hope it gets better. Take precautions now.
