This thread is why I don't trust patches and cold turkey is the way to go. Big risk, big reward, no messing around.
I used to smoke and I'm really interested in understanding the side effects. Can anyone find any real data on how common these things actually are?
I'm actually looking for something to help my dad quit. Should i tell him to go for it or look for alternatives?
I went through this patch and they worked. If you go this route, track your symptoms. If anything seems off, call your doctor.
I had the bad dreams too. It was awful. But it didn't stop me from quitting. I'm 2 years smoke-free now and got over it.
I used Nicoderm and it worked wonders! I had some irritation at the patch site, but nothing serious. Stick with it, and remember to gradually reduce the dose as prescribed.
