I recently started using Nitro-Dur 0.6mg/hr Patch after being diagnosed with heart disease. I was initially hesitant as I had heard about skin irritation but my doctor assured me that it would greatly improve my chest pain. The patch is easy to use—you just stick it on your skin and it releases nitroglycerin to help relax your blood vessels. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and while it does help with the chest pain, I've also experienced some side effects like dizziness and headaches. I've heard that the headaches often improve over time, but I'm not sure if that's true for everyone. Anyone else have experience with this patch? I want to know if others have had similar experiences or found ways to manage the side effects.

Side effects can be a bit alarming, and I'm sure many of us have experienced them. I'm really curious to hear from others who have used this medication for a longer duration. Are there any long-term side effects that I should be aware of and how do I know if it is worth the risk?

I switched to the patch from nitroglycerin tablets because the tablets gave me a really bad headache each time. The patch has been a game-changer. No more sudden headaches and my chest pain is much more manageable.

I'm considering trying the Nitro-Dur patch but I'm nervous about the side effects. Has anyone had any issues with allergic reactions?

The first few days were rough with headaches and dizziness. I guess it's just your body getting used to the new medication?

I've been on Nitro-Dur for about six months now, and while the initial headaches were tough, they did subside after a few weeks. I've also experienced some skin irritation, but it's manageable. Always put the patch on a different spot each day to avoid irritation and if your doctor prescribes a different patch strength, it may cause more discomfort in the beginning.

I think it's great that it helps with chest pain, but the side effects are no joke. I've had to take a few days off work because of how bad the headaches were.

I think the worst part about the patch is the skin irritation. It's not fun dealing with that every day. I've had to switch up the locations on my body to avoid getting a rash and it seems to help a bit.
