I recently started taking Tasimelteon 20mg Capsules for my Non-24-Hour Sleep-Wake Disorder, and I must say, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster. I've been totally blind since birth, so my internal clock has always been out of whack. I've tried everything from melatonin to strict sleep schedules, but nothing seemed to work long-term. My doctor finally prescribed Tasimelteon, and I've been taking it for about two months now. At first, I thought it was just another placebo, but recently I've noticed that my sleep pattern is actually starting to align with the 24-hour day. I've had a few side effects—a headache here and there, and some really vivid bad dreams—but nothing too terrible. I'm just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience, or if there are any tips for making the most of this medication. Has anyone tried adjusting the dosage or timing? I'm just interested in hearing other people's stories and advice. Also, a quick question for anyone who knows: what do you do if you experience any of the more serious side effects? I've read the pamphlet, but I'd love to hear from real people.

Oh no, that sounds rough! Definitely talk to your doctor about switching, and keep us posted on how it goes! If you need any tips on staying positive during this time of uncertainty, I'm here for you.

I've been on Tasimelteon for about six months now, and it's been a game-changer for me. I've had Non-24 for as long as I can remember, and this is the first time I've felt like I have some control over my sleep schedule. I did have some bad dreams at the beginning, but they've subsided. I also had a bit of a cold last month, and I was worried it was a side effect, but my doctor assured me it was just a coincidence. I'm grateful for this medication, and I hope more people with Non-24 can access it!

I wish I could try Tasimelteon, but my insurance refuses to cover it. Has anyone had any luck fighting with their insurance company to get it covered?

You should definitely let your doctor know if you experience any side effects, but don't switch your medicine on your own. If you really liked Tasimelteon, talk to your doctor about the rash and see if you can solve the problem with a cream or an antihistamine.

This medication is a lifesaver. Really, I can't believe how much better I feel. I'm sleeping through the night and waking up refreshed. Plus I haven't had a UTI in months... and yes, they were INSANELY common before. So grateful for this prescription.

I tried Tasimelteon and it didn't work for me. I had terrible headaches and it was even worse than my Non-24 symptoms. I had to stop taking it after a week. I'm sticking with melatonin for now.

I've been taking Tasimelteon for a while now, and I've noticed that my sleep pattern is much more consistent. I still have occasional bad dreams, but they're not as frequent as they used to be. I've also noticed that I've had fewer colds since starting the medication. I'm not sure if it's related, but it's a nice side benefit!

Has anyone else experienced weird allergic reactions to Tasimelteon? This rash is driving me crazy, and I just switched to another med to see if that helps. Ugh.
